Kayla Gonzalez

Kayla graduated from Truman State University in August of 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Though originally attending school to become a teacher, her career trajectory changed when she started working at Chariton Valley Association as a Direct Support Professional in 2018. Through this experience, as well as her experience as a Camp Counselor at Adair County SB40’s Youth Employment Program, Kayla discovered a passion for serving her community. Kayla has worked with Missouri Department of Social Services, both as an Eligibility Specialist and Children’s Service Worker, and was overjoyed to return to SB40 in 2021 as a Service Coordinator.

 

Kayla enjoys books, board games, lifting weights, and spending time with her fiancé and their three pets (two cats and a chihuahua).
